What time is check-in?

Guaranteed check-in time is 4pm.

What time is check-out?

Check-out time is 12 noon. 

Is it possible to request an earlier check in?

Early check-in is subject to availability by phoning the hotel on the day.

Can i request a late check out?

A later check out can be requested at reception at an additional charge.

What is the hotel reception opening hours?

The reception is open 24 hours, our reception team will be at your service day and night

What is the best price guarantee?

When booking through our website www.thedhotel or directly by phone +353 41 9877700, we guarantee, that you will get the best available rate.

Are the rates per person or per room?

All prices, unless stated otherwise on our website, are on a per-room-basis.

Can I also book breakfast online? What does it cost?

The d Hotel do offer packages where breakfast is already included in the rate. For rates which do not have breakfast included, there is of course the possibility to add on breakfast. The cost for breakfast is €10.00 per adult or €7.50 per child. 

Can children share my room?

Yes, children are welcome to stay in our family rooms. To request a family room or with more specific accommodation requests please contact us on 041 9877700 and we’d be happy to assist.

Do you offer wheelchair accessible rooms?

Yes, the hotel has wheelchair accessible rooms, when making a reservation please note on the booking that a wheelchair accessible room is required.

When is my card charged for my reservation?

Payment Policy: Full payment will be taken at time of arrival for any bookings made directly.

Advance purchase rates (Tayto Park or a TLT Package) are charged in full at time of booking and are non-refundable.

For Rooms booked through a third-party website, please check the T&C on their website as some 3rd parties require full payment at the time of booking

What is the hotels cancellation policy?

Cancellation Policy: Bookings must be cancelled 72 hours in advance of your arriving date. In the event of a no show or a cancellation with less than 72 hours’ notice the first night’s cost of your stay will be charged. For a third-party website cancelation must be processed through their website subject to their terms and conditions.

How do I book groups into the hotel?

For group bookings on five or more rooms please contact our reservations team on 041 9877700 or email reserve@thedhotel.com, group terms & conditions apply.

Is there an minimum age for check in?

Minimum age for check is 23 years of age. Photo ID may be requested

Do your rooms have air-conditioning?

We have a very limited number of air-conditioned rooms, this room type is known as the Executive Standard room

Do your provide a hairdryer and iron in your room?

Yes, all rooms are provide with a hairdryer, irons and ironing boards are available by calling reception

Is there tea/coffee making facilities in the room?

Yes we have a range of tea/coffee available in the room

How many guests do your rooms accommodate?

Our standard, superior and balcony rooms all accommodate 2 people.

Our triple rooms accommodate 3 people.

Our family rooms can accommodate 2 adults and 2 children

Does the hotel have in interconnecting rooms?

Yes, we also have a limited number of interconnecting rooms which can accommodate up to 2 adults and 5 children.

Do you offer wheelchair accessible rooms?

Yes, the hotel has wheelchair accessible rooms, when making a reservation please note on the booking that a wheelchair accessible room is required.

Is there a fridge in the bedrooms?

No, we have no fridges in the rooms.

Does the hotel supply cots for babies?

We have a number of cots available free of charge. Please inform reservations of your requirements at the time of booking

Is there access to free Wi-Fi?

Yes, there is complimentary Wi-Fi throughout the hotel.

Do all the bedrooms overlook the River Boyne?

Our Superior Double/Twins and our Superior Balcony rooms and Superior Family rooms overlook the River Boyne

Car Park

Do you need to pay for car parking?

Hotel Residents can avail of use of the independently operated car park at a discounted rate of €8.00 per night

Where is the car park?

The car park is located opposite the main doors of the hotel on the Marsh Road

 

Transport / Directions

By Car

From Dublin - travelling to us by car takes approximately 20 minutes from Dublin Airport. Follow the signs for the M1 Belfast and after approximately 15 minutes take the Junction 7 exit signposted for Julianstown/Drogheda South. Follow the signs for Drogheda Town Centre and you will see the hotel and the Scotch Hall Shopping Complex on your right as you enter the town.

From Belfast – travelling to us by car takes approximately 90 minutes. From Belfast City Centre follow the signs for the M1 Motorway. Follow the signs for Dublin and take Junction

By Train

Drogheda McBride railway station is less than a 10 minute walk to the d hotel and has regular daily services to both Dublin and Belfast.

By Bus

Drogheda Bus Station is just over a 5 minute walk from the hotel.

Parking

The d hotel enjoys discounted car parking rates from our neighbours Scotch Hall Shopping Centre. We can offer discounted overnight parking to our hotel guests at a rate of €8.00.

Yes you can pay by cash but please note that for all bookings and additional €100.00 deposit on a debit card or a pre-authorization if a credit card will be taken on arrival as a security deposit.
If a valid card is not provided at time of check in, you may be refused accommodation
